  1. Hi Maria, I'm new to your blog and it's gorgeous! I don't know how you find the time to make so many beautiful things. I was looking for an update on your lovely cotton stripy blanket - I came to your projects page via your post "Weekend Bits" but can't see the finished blanket. Do you have any pics? Also wondering how you found the cotton? I have only ever used Sirdar Snuggly or more recently Stylecraft Special DK. Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Shivers, thanks for the lovely comment! The blanket is still in progress... I know, it's been a long time in the works! You can see an updated picture of it (plus one you've already seen) in this post:

I'm using King Cole Cottonsoft, and I really like it - it's ever so soft. The cotton gives a smoother feel than you get with something like Stylecraft Special DK (which I used on my Waterlily blanket) so it depends what feel you want, depending on the project you're working on. I'm a big fan of Stylecraft Special - it feels nice and the price is good!
I am trying to make progress and get the blanket finished, so keep your eyes peeled (although it might be another month or so, it's a big blanket!)
      Thanks for visiting!

    2. Thanks for the quick reply! It really is stunning. I have a throw for a double bed in progress and it will be years before it's finished so I absolutely understand! I will have a go at something similar to your stripes and give King Cole Cottonsoft a go but maybe for a baby blanket so that I don't have to wait too long to finish it :) Good luck and looking forward to seeing your finished article x
