I need to add some tiny tasks so they're quick to tick off I think - like you say, start with the smaller things. Progress is progress! At the moment our spare bedroom is our dumping ground for all of the chaos. I just close the door and breath heavily.

I always start with the smaller things and work up. Even within one room, I say to myself, "Okay, I'm going to organise that drawer", and if I have enough mental energy by the end, I do the next drawer, or the next cupboard, or the other half of the room. We're so used to seeing things done with before and after pictures, I think we give ourselves unrealistic expectations. So what if it takes you 6 months to do it? As long as you're making progress, that's all that matters.

Or in 6 months you could still be sat in front of Netflix. No judgement. ;)Alex - The Interior DIYerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08703548291394917949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9596933579669628.post-44496364026381866822015-08-06T22:05:40.607+01:002015-08-06T22:05:40.607+01:00Fantastic plan! I like that you put the creative activities at the head of your list - a good sense of priority. Keep up the good work.Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15477500174163532806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9596933579669628.post-91290349844379605912015-08-05T07:57:41.806+01:002015-08-05T07:57:41.806+01:00"getting your act together" is a great p..."getting your act together" is a great plan and is a positive course of action isn't it, it is what I would do in your circumstance - and what I did do when I was in that circumstance. I cannot remember what I said before, but I am going back to check for your reply in a moment, but know that you will be good at the end of this and that you will come through and that a new and different life awaits you! It doesn't mean that the old one was bad, you just take what you had, remember it fondly and move on, so the "getting your act together" plan exemplifies that beautifully I think. Well done you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have got a lovely place for crafting and organising that would help organize your heart and mind again. Love the cross stitch design and the blanket.
I have a link party 'Messy to Classy' where I encourage organising crafty things. If interested, you may link your post with before and after picture of your craft room. There is a separate tab on my blog for the same.
Preetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14719450107640709790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9596933579669628.post-21806818887439618122015-08-04T18:25:21.428+01:002015-08-04T18:25:21.428+01:00Looking forward to following your progress, Maria....Looking forward to following your progress, Maria.
xKiwijohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09645291282643330450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9596933579669628.post-73860205143690723332015-08-04T16:55:51.114+01:002015-08-04T16:55:51.114+01:00I would personally start with the blanket. When the blanket is finished I would continue with the conservatory.. even if you are not finished until well into autumn in there you then have a brand new snuggly blanket for your new lovely glass room! Winwin! And cozy.. Think candles!! Craft rooms live their own lives - either from craftiness and a lot of vip:s or from turning into dumping grounds. In my experience they look nice for about a day. I use my door a lot! That is my advice in that matter. Anway shout if you need any help. Anna xxAnnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11357828426437463524noreply@blogger.com
